James Harden and the Rockets took part in an all-time National Basketball Association collapse in the second half of Saturday's Game 6.
The Rockets had 39 points in the first quarter of game six.
Klay Thompson showed up to Game 6 with a ruthless mentality, pacing the Golden State Warriors with 35 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field and 9-of-14 shooting from behind the arc.
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry shoots against the Houston Rockets during the first half of Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals in Oakland on Saturday. Love has been the second best offensive player for the Cavaliers in the postseason, but they can survive his loss - this is a better defensive team without him (3.1 points per 100 possessions better when he is off the court in this series) and the offense often sees better ball movement and flow.

Warriors center Kevon Looney was listed as questionable on the injury report for Monday's Game 7 against the Rockets with a sprained toe. "As soon as we know, we'll say it, but we might not know until the afternoon (when we) see how it goes or he tests it out. I used to be so hard on myself, especially early in my career", Thompson said.
The focus will now shift to Chris Paul and the status of his hamstring sprain for Game 7. They were committing careless turnovers. But the number of ridiculous calls going for the home team, particularly in the third quarter when the game began to get out of hand, was pretty remarkable. He's got good genes, he should thank his mum and dad for that. Harden has had plenty of playoff disappointments in the last few years and embraces the chance to get Houston back into the finals. I was more anxious about the offense coming into the game than the defense. "We'll just have to play it by ear".
It felt, in a lot of ways, like the last time Golden State was in Game 6 of a Western Conference finals: two years ago, when the Warriors trailed the Oklahoma City Thunder 3-2 in that best-of-seven series, and needed a win in Oklahoma City to keep their season alive. The series is heading back to Houston for one more contest. You never know how the game is going to play out. The outcome will come down to the health of Chris Paul and Andre Iguodala and which team is able to execute their game plan, make the tiny adjustments, catch a little luck and make their shots.
The record was previously held by the Los Angeles Lakers, who, coincidentally, outscored the Warriors by 37 points (73-36) in Game 3 of the 1973 Western Conference Finals.
