Tramaglini has been serving as the superintendent of the Kenilworth School District since 2015. Tramaglini, who lives nearby, was jogging on the field around 5:50 a.m. before he was arrested.

Holmdel police have charged Kenilworth Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Tramaglini with relieving himself in public early Monday morning after school officials reported finding "daily" deposits of excrement by an athletic field.

It is still unclear why Tramaglini made a decision to use the football field as his bathroom and authorities are interviewing him over the incidents.

Tramaglini is superintendent of Kenilworth Public Schools, more than half an hour away.

A New Jersey superintendent was charged on Monday after allegedly defecating multiple times on the track of a high school in a neighboring district.

The case of the mystery pooper has reportedly been solved after New Jersey police arrested a school district's superintendent.

They said the resource officer and school staff "monitored the area and was able to identify a subject responsible for the acts". It added: "Leaves can only be without pay in the face of indictments or tenure charges, as a matter of state law".

"The Board of Education wants to assure faculty and staff, students and parents, that the district will continue its responsibilities without interruption", assured the school board.
