Six months ago I bought the iPhone X after I reviewed it for CNBC. Here are my thoughts on

The report further says Apple shipped nearly 50 million iPhone X units since its launch in November 2017. So, in terms of marketability iPhone X ahead of their "brothers" in the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone 8. The only Android smartphone to make it to the top five was Xiaomi's Redmi 5A. Boosted by the expensive iPhone X, Apple fetched an average of $728 per iPhone in this year's quarter, an 11 percent gain from last year's average of $655.

In comparison, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which were launched alongside the iPhone X, sold 12.5 million units and 8.3 million units respectively. The Cupertino technology company shipped 8.3 million units of the iPhone 8 Plus, which had 2.4 per cent market share. Therefore, Apple now accounts for four of the world's six most popular smartphones. The phone has been well received in the Asian continent.

And now a rumor indicates that possibly the next iPhone X comes without this cut.

For the last few months, there has been growing concern over the fate of the smartphone. While the flagship iPhone X may not have matched the hype from its launch late a year ago, the device's $999 (roughly Rs. 66,700) starting price helped boost phone revenue growth 14 percent.

Apple has been emphasising its contributions to the U.S. economy in recent months, outlining a US$30 billion U.S. spending plan and highlighting the tens of billions of dollars it spends each year with U.S. -based suppliers. But Apple said that the iPhone X remained the top selling iPhone in its product line for every single week of the March quarter, and while sales were up slightly, revenue was up quite a bit. Its price is expected to be close to $700, a price level that's proven successful for Apple in the past. The App Store, Apple Music, iCloud storage and Apple Pay all generated record sales, Cook said. "We also grew revenue in all of our geographic segments, with over 20 per cent growth in Greater China and Japan". After that, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus isn't doing particularly bad for itself.

Samsung's new flagships started shipping only during the end of the first quarter, and the sales figures are already quite impressive. Second, it was the best-selling smartphone in China. The only Android smartphone which manages to take place in the top five list is the Redmi Mi 5A.

The phone managed to beat analysts' fears regarding its market performance due to its high price. "Xiaomi is selling a huge volume of smartphones through online channels, with key retail partners including Flipkart and JD".
