"You had a man who's married who's having an affair with this other woman". He told them, "My wife may be inside", police said.

Police in Radnor Township, Pa., found the bodies of Meredith Chapman, 33, and Gerardot, 47, on the first floor of Chapman's home on Tuesday, near the kitchen. She is believed to have shot Chapman as soon as she came in the door, before taking her own life. Two rounds were missing.

Just after 7:00 last night, authorities responded to a home in the unit block of Lowrys Lane for reports of gunfire.

'[Gerardot] went to great lengths to disguise herself, ' Police Superintendent William Colarulo said during a Tuesday press conference. "My wife might be inside", he told police.

The bodies were discovered by Mark, Gerardot's husband.

While a formal ruling on the cause and manner of the deaths is pending autopsies by the Delaware County Medical Examiner's office, the case is cleared as far as police are concerned.

Gerardot, whose husband is 49-year-old Mark Gerardot, used a wig as disguise and traveled from DE to Chapman's home, which she broke into.

A wig and other clothing items were found in a bag inside the house that did not appear to belong to Chapman, police said.

Additionally, WDEL has learned that Mark and Jennair Gerardot were also separated and in the process of getting a divorce.

Jennair Gerardot's Facebook account showed no hint of marital issues, only photographs of the smiling couple and their dogs. She then waited for Chapman to return home, according to authorities. She broke into the house. 'She wore a wig, and took a train from DE to Radnor.

A Taurus Tracker.357 revolver was recovered at the scene. She was open to any kind of therapy, she said, from religious-based to boot camp-style therapy.

Chapman also worked as an assistant vice president of marketing and creative services at Villanova University and ran for the state senate in DE in 2016.

Chapman, a 2007 graduate of the University of DE, worked for the school in media relations and marketing and ran unsuccessfully for a state Senate seat in DE in 2016. A spokesman for Villanova named Jonathan Gust expressed the university's sadness over this event, saying, "Our hearts are broken by the devastating loss of our new colleague", he said. "The thoughts and prayers of the entire university community are with her family, friends and colleagues during this extremely hard time".

The family of Meredith Chapman is providing more context to the tragic murder-suicide in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania.

Police blocked the road just off of Lancaster Avenue as evening fell over the normally quiet community.

A porch light is on at the Chapman residence in Newark's Fairfield Crest neighborhood, but there is no police activity at the home.
