What's next on Tiger Woods' 2018 PGA Tour schedule?

In 2007 Tiger Woods won the Wachovia Championship now known as the Wells Fargo Championship. Organizers are waiting to see if he will return for next week's event

Report: Woods commits to next week's Wells Fargo Championship, first start since Masters

Tiger Woods' May calendar filled up quickly.

"Break over time to get back to work", Woods posted on his Twitter site in announcing his next two starts, the Wells Fargo Championship next week and The Players.

And Wells Fargo Golf replied: "We are so excited to have our 2007 champion back to the Queen City!"

When is Tiger Woods' next tournament?

The 14-time major victor will return to Quail Hollow for first time since 2012, making his seventh career trip to Charlotte, N.C. He won the event in 2007. Woods was runner-up by one shot at the Valspar Championship.

He has not played the tournament since 2012 and missed last year's PGA Championship at the course due to injury. He's also now No. 12 in strokes gained overall on the entire PGA Tour.

"I usually take three to four weeks off, through my entire career, and usually the clubs are put in the closet, and I just kind of get away for a while". He has made the cut in five of six events, including two top-fives, since returning from spinal fusion surgery at the end of 2017. Woods hasn't played more than 11 tournaments since 2013 which would make 2018 quite historic. These will likely be Woods' only appearances before he tees off at Shinnecock Hills in June for the U.S. Open.
