According to the BJP general secretary, the ministers decided that they will resign from their post.
He said the BJP president will forward the resignations to the chief minister for further action.
The BJP on Saturday accepted the resignation of the two ministers but said their unwise move to go and pacify people rallying for suspects of rape and murder of a minor was "mistaken for trying to shield the accused". "What kind of investigation are they doing?"
Kathua case has shocked the nation and when the matter was reported in January, the state police had acted swiftly and 90 days after investigation, the charge sheet was being filed, the BJP leader asserted.
