On Wednesday, the award-winning rapper took to Twitter to praise Donald Trump, referring to the president as his "brother" who he shares "dragon energy" with.

Two days earlier, West told Darden, "I love Donald Trump" during a radio interview.

Rumours suggesting West has lost eight-million followers after his tweets admiring Trump were false. He is my brother. "If your free thinking is used as fuel by oppressors to continue to oppress black people and minorities, I think it's bullshit and it's not OK, and I will speak out against it and I will think freely and tell you that I don't agree with you". We have the right to independent thought, which is what makes us individuals - wrote West.

In the past several days, many fans have raised concerns over Kanye's mental health after he has posted a series of controversial tweets that appear to support Donald Trump.

Turning to West's live TV assertion that former president Bush "doesn't care about black people", Lemon asked Dennard whether West believes Trump cares about black people.

"I'll keep you posted if that changes", Sanders added.

He later clarified his tweet after he shared that his wife, Kim Kardashian West, talked to him about it.

The praise generated a prompt response from the President himself, who tweeted, "Thank you, Kanye!". I don't agree with everything anyone does. I'm not a democrat or a republican. Or even that Cyhi the Prince or Killer Mike (by emphasizing support of the second amendment in an NRA video for the second amendment) have publicly challenged allegiance to a political party many believe haven't delivered on promises for black Americans.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that the last time Trump spoke to West was during the transition - when West famously visited Trump Tower. In one of his most recent posts, West has taken his Trump support to another level by taking a shot at Barack#Obama, resulting in the loss of millions of followers on #Twitter. For one, Obama called Kanye West a jackass, although he did admit that 'Ye's also talented. "I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself".

West's tweet was rather straightforward, simply saying that he'd "like to meet with Tim Cook" and that he has "some ideas".
