White was the first Mountaineer taken in this year's draft.

Nwosu grew up in Carson, the suburban home of the two-stadium complex now occupied by the Chargers while they build their permanent home in nearby Inglewood.

The former SPUR safety was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft pick 119. They have two fourth-round picks, picks 125 and 130, one pick in the sixth round, pick 206, and one pick in the seventh round, pick 250. Then in the third round, they traded down from 87th to 89th. The Los Angeles Chargers were thrilled when they got a widely perceived steal in the first round of the National Football League draft.

White joins WVU alum Geno Smith, who signed with the Chargers in the offseason.

He may not have the fastest 40, but he gives 100 percent effort every single play. Perryman should solidify the middle of the defense if he can play his first full 16-game slate, but no one else has a firm grip on a starting job. He is listed as a safety, but I see him more as a "Moneybacker" or the overused "hybrid-type" player. He can cover the tight end. James could play the free safety position early on. And boy, can he blitz... "I don't know if he'll be a safety or a linebacker but he's going to be around the line of scrimmage". The younger brother of Bears WR Kevin White, Kyzir is a plus run defender with experience covering tight ends and slot receivers and an imposing, tone-setter demeanor in the box.

"A gift-wrapped, NFL-ready frame with good length and well-distributed musculation". "Just to be able to play right down the street from my parents' house where we grew up, walking and watching tennis matches and all types of soccer games there my whole life, just to be able to play in there and be home, it just means a lot to me".

"I love Kyzir White". You really can't talk to him very much.
