Cleveland used its first pick in the second round on Nevada tackle Joe Thomas, a possible replacement for retired Pro Bowler Joe Thomas.

The Browns entered Friday with three second-round picks.

Lorenzo Carter's name was also taken off the board. NY last selected a Bulldog when they took Todd Peterson 25 years ago in the 1993 draft.

After taking Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick on Thursday, the pick of Corbett brings the new quarterback a new protector for next season. In 2016, Georgia had five players drafted, highlighted by the Chicago Bears' selection of Leonard Floyd with the ninth overall pick.

At 6-foot-3 and a half with a 4.47 40-yard dash. Anyone watching the Browns last season saw a team so inept at the position that they made a decision to play a safety 30 yards off the ball. He also missed several games past year after being arrested for felony theft.

In 31 career games with the Ragin' Cajuns, Thomas registered 65 solo tackles, assisted on 25 other stops and totaled 90 tackles, including three for lost yardage, to go along with a fumble recovery and one forced fumble. Thomas notched 42 tackles in his senior season with 21 passes defensed. He was a significant contributor to a defense that helped clinch the Bulldogs' first SEC title since 2005 and its first win at the Rose Bowl since 1943.
