Alexander goes #18 to Packers, Jackson #32 to Ravens in NFL Draft

Basically, the Packers ended the night with one of the best cornerbacks in the draft - Jaire Alexander - and picked up a future first-rounder in the process.

In his mock, Mayock sent Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander to the Packers at No. 14.

In exchange, the Packers received a 5th round choice on Saturday (147th overall) and the Saints number one pick next year.

With the No. 27 pick, the Seahawks took San Diego State running back Rashaad Penny, who led the nation in rushing yards in 2017. The Packers moved back up from 27 to 18 in the deal, giving Seattle it's only third round pick (76) and a sixth rounder (186).

"We do think he both inside and outside".

Veteran Tramon Williams returned as a free agent to the Packers, who also brought back Davon House.

"We feel like he's a playmaker on defense and special teams". Alexander (5'10/196) converted from wide receiver and broke out for five interceptions as a 2016 sophomore before missing all but six games as a junior with a broken hand and recurring knee injuries.

"I'm a Raven, it's on", Jackson said on the NFL Network.

Gutekunst noted that Alexander "was in consideration" for the Packers to select him at No. 14, but when the Saints called with a trade offer, it was too good to pass up. Not only did he get a playmaking cornerback in the first round, he also brought in a 2019 first round pick.

When everything is said and done, the Packers will end up being one of the winners of the first round.
