We weren't able to see much in Ford's brief teaser of its new Ford Focus, but we liked the compact car's new face, especially its more aggressive headlights.
Ford may be grappling with the global shift toward utility vehicles by killing off some of its auto nameplates, including the Ford Fiesta, but the Focus compact is here to stay for awhile. This will streamline a number of common components like engines, electronics, and sunroofs.

Ford says the Focus engines bound for North America will be announced closer to the car's launch. The new Focus also debuts a new 8-speed automatic transmission. The new Focus goes on sale today, priced from £17,930 for the Style hatchback - which is £2,300 less than the equivalent previous model.
Vignale is Ford's new premium brand that aims to add a bit more class and luxury to its models, and therefore acts as the range-topping trim.
