Rick Ross' family has denied the reports that the rapper has been taken to the hospital and is now hooked into life support.

Ross, 42, is in a Miami-area hospital getting treatment in the cardiac unit.

On Friday, March 2, TMZ reported that Ross was rushed to the hospital after a 911 caller reported that the rapper was unresponsive and "slobbing at the mouth". With this being reported, it still remains unclear what exactly happened to Ross but signs are pointing to a possible heart attack.

According the dispatch record obtained by Us Weekly, Ross was "combative" with medical professionals, who arrived at the scene.

Other friends and fellow hip hop artists have been quick to express their concern for his failing health including American rapper and TV personality, Snoop Dogg.

Fat Trel, a kindred rapper and dear companion, confirmed that Ross was in a hospital, saying he was doing "great", yet "isn't on life support", BET revealed.

His heart and lung failure puts his life on a thread.

They were said to have forgotten to shut the auto doors after they arrived at the hospital due to their "mad rush".

Ross, who lost 75 pounds in 2016, was previously hospitalized after suffering two seizures in October 2011.

While Ross spent his formative years in Miami and still lives there, he also maintains a footprint in Atlanta. He went to the hospital at that time, but blamed them on a lack of sleep.
