According to a multiple reports from Roland's Rival.com colleagues on Twitter, communication from Courtney was last received around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. A passer-by who had seen news reports that Roland was missing recognized her along Interstate 610 in west Houston and reached out to authorities, police said.
Roland's roommate told KPRC that Roland texted her about a suspicious man she saw in Walgreens who was following her.
Houston Police said they do not suspect foul play.
Friends and family of Courtney Roland have been posting on social media about her disappearance, hoping to get information on her whereabouts.
Her white Jeep was found overnight in a parking garage close to the shopping center, police said.
"She seems pretty confused about everything", said Houston Police.
Police took Roland to a hospital to be checked out. Roland and her roommate meant to meet up later that day, but she never appeared. "I am buying an iPad.'" According to Click2Houston, "Vara also said Roland's vehicle was broken into six weeks ago and she's been on high-alert since".
Information obtained in our investigation thus far indicates Ms. Roland was last seen about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday (Jan 7) walking alone in a store in the mall.
A message left on her phone was not immediately returned.
Her auto, purse, wallet, phone were all later discovered abandoned in the area. She said he drove a blue truck and pulled up behind her in her driveway, but drove off after she got out of her auto.
