-Marlboro County School District is announcing that for Wednesday, Jan. 3, schools will operate on a two-hour delayed schedule for staff and students.
Primetime Child Care will also operate on a two-hour delay. "It's usually just this first day back because the buses have been in idle for so long". All elementary, middle, P-8 and junior high classes will start at 10am.
Luten said that 81 buses wouldn't start this morning, but by 9 a.m. more than 70 had been fixed and were running.
Buses will also be on a two-hour delay. I commend our bus drivers, mechanics and maintenance staff who have all been working diligently today to ensure our schools and bus fleet are operating optimally. Horry County Schools will continue to monitor the progression of the winter storm and will provide an update on Wednesday afternoon if further schedule changes are necessary for Thursday.
