It looks like the Chinese brand has fulfilled its promise. The handset - dubbed 'desh ka smartphone - will succeed the Redmi 4A in India and comes packed with some key features never seen before in this price range. There are two versions of the Redmi 5A - an entry-level version that gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and a more expensive, but still affordable version that gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Xiaomi has announced via its Weibo account that the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus smartphones will make their debut on December 7 in China. The phone will features an 8 MP (or 12 MP) rear camera and a 5 MP front camera on the device. The phone is powered by the quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset.
