The outage at Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown was reported at 11 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET), according to NBC Los Angeles.

A transformer is now to blame, shutting off power all across Toontown, as well as portions of Fantasyland around 11 am Pacific Time.

At least a dozen rides and attractions appear to have been shut down at the Anaheim, Calif., park.

The outage occurred at a busy time during the park's holiday season.

Geoff Feinberg told CNN that he and his family were on the "It's a Small World" ride when the power went off.

A transformer issue caused the power outage, the spokesman said, adding that people were being escorted off the affected rides.

"We sat there for about 25 minutes in the dark", he said.

The outage was apparently due to a transformer issue.

The remaining rides unaffected reportedly have longer than usual lines.

As of noon, Rubalcava said, a majority of the rides were back up, however, a handful of attractions in Fantasyland are still down.

Disneyland's Twitter account said that the park was only accepting guests for re-entry.
