At least one person has been killed and three others critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Queens, New York City, early morning Sunday, AP reports citing police.
The injured were taken to an area hospital.
The driver "targeted" the victims around 4:45am local time, authorities said.
Cops found at least one person dead and two more stabbed after the violent fracas outside XS NYC at 129th St. and Liberty Ave. just before 5 a.m.in South Ozone Park. "The vehicle was going really fast, at least 50 miles per hour on the sidewalk".
Queens resident Milagros Urbina told CBS New York that she heard some screaming before she saw the auto barreling down the sidewalk.
Police were searching for the driver, The Associated Press reported. Four others who were struck are in critical condition. The pair were recovering and in stable condition.
At this time, police say the crash was not believed to be terrorism related and the confrontation appeared to have started as a dispute.
