Kelly Clarkson looked on top of the world as she sparkled at the Billboard Women In Music event on Thursday night.
At the awards in Los Angeles, Kelly performed her single Meaning Of Life, the title track from her freshly released eighth studio album. "Even in that scenario we weren't in the house, which is a blessing".
She said: "I'm constantly somebody that likes to grow and feel like, 'All right, what can I be better at, what could I do better at, where could my confidence be stronger?' I'm 25, so I feel like I'm going to change a lot and enjoy that".
"The guy was in our kid's room... so it was a little weird", she says, adding, "other than that everyone is safe and good".
The 35-year-old was also asked what the term "powerhouse" meant to her, to which she replied with a laugh, "I guess it's someone who walks into a room and, like them or hate them, they're here!"
Kelly managed to put the incident behind her as she took home the Powerhouse Award at the star-studded ceremony, accepting it from Kelly Rowland and praising the former Destiny's Child singer for her "cool" dress sense.
She believes that together with this titles also comes a "huge responsibility, ' and she wants to encourage other people in a hard position in their lives that they can 'make it through".
