Video Shows Officer Punch Woman Who Slapped Him at UM Game

Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said that the department is now viewing the video to make sure the proper procedures were followed in the incident that took place at the Hard Rock Stadium, during Miami's win Saturday over Virginia Tech.

Police said Farrington lured the victim and her brother into her bedroom and then suffocated Tania with a pillow.

The incident happened during the University of Miami's victory over Virginia Tech at the Hard Rock stadium on Saturday night.

Police are investigating an altercation between a Hurricanes fan and an officer during Saturday's game between No. 10 Miami and No. 13 Virginia Tech.

Police have not said what led to the woman being removed, if she was intoxicated, or whether or not she was arrested after the incident. They say they tried to calm her down and asked her to move to the concourse, but she refused and sat on the steps. According to CBS Miami, the officer that struck Freitas is identified only as Detective Ross.

A man throwing away garbage Sunday afternoon at the Tuscany Place Apartments in Miami-Dade County discovered her body and called 911, according to a news release. She did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said her body had bruises on her arms, legs and torso.

She was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.
