'Shameless' Star Arrested On DUI In Burbank

An actor who co-stars in the Showtime series "Shameless" was arrested in Burbank last Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to authorities.

It is unclear whether the DUI was drug or alcohol related, according to TMZ.

Working as an actor since he was 7 years old, Cutkosky has starred on the critically acclaimed Showtime series over eight seasons, growing up on screen with the rest of the Gallagher kids.

Law enforcement sources tell us, Ethan was driving his orange BMW at around 10:30 PM and began to straddle the traffic lanes, which prompted cops to pull him over. Officers reportedly smelled the pot coming from Cutkosky's vehicle when they approached.

A DUI test was subsequently conducted, including a blood draw, and Cutkosky was booked into Burbank City Jail. He's slated to appear in court on November 29.

A representative for Cutkosky did not immediately return HuffPost's request for comment.

On Shameless, Cutkosky plays Carl, the second youngest member of the Gallagher brood - whom all struggle to raise themselves at the hands of an alcoholic father (played by William H. Macy).

Cutkosky's character enrolled in a military academy last season after leaving behind a life of crime. His arrest came days before the eighth season of the show premiered on Sunday.
