And Liverpool fans won't like the sound of what he's saying.

Barcelona are expected to make another offer when the transfer window reopens in January and Suárez's public praise of Coutinho will do little to persuade the Brazilian worldwide that his long-term future remains at Anfield. But, Liverpool held firm.

"Despite trying to leave Liverpool he continued helping the team and working".

Barcelona are reportedly set to make a renewed approach for Philippe Coutinho in January, with an offer of £106 million mooted in the Spanish press.

The reports come in just days after Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian was spotted speaking to PSG Sporting director Antero Henrique.

Sport reports the Blaugrana will make a new €120 million (£106m) offer for the Brazilian, who is now nursing a calf problem.

"And any player would want to come to Barcelona".

The former Inter Milan playmaker missed the start of the season with a back injury before he scored a brilliant free-kick on his return to the Liverpool starting line-up in a 3-2 win at Leicester City. Though they remain in the market for the player with another bid possible.

Coutinho is now with the Brazil squad preparing for friendly matches against Japan and England.

Currently, Liverpool are playing so well without Coutinho and have plenty of attacking options, that selling the Brazilian may not even be a huge loss...
