Meek Mill Sentenced to 2-4 Years in Prison for Probation Violation

Her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill spent three months under house arrest just past year for violating his probation stemming from an arrest in 2008. and he just did it again, according to TMZ!

Meek Mill has been sentenced to prison. She went on to say that his sentence would be served in a state prison and he'd be eligible for parole in two years.

JAY-Z wasn't the only artist to comment on Mill's sentence.

Earlier in 2017, Meek Mill released his third album, Wins & Losses. But probation violations resulted in five more months in prison in 2013 and an extension of his probation.

Jay-Z, who's Roc Nation company represents Meek Mill, called his punishment "unjust and heavy handed". Those charges were dropped after Meek agreed to undertake community service, but just being arrested opened Meek to charges of violating his parole.

Meek has been on probation pretty much constantly since he was first arrested for gun possession and assaulting a police officer in 2005.

Brinkley was Meek's judge in the original 2009 case, and cited a failed drug test, his violation of travel restrictions and two other arrests as infractions upon his probation. The judge confessed that she had been trying to help the rapper for about a decade but Mill appears to do what he wants to do, reports said. In August, he was stopped for reckless endangerment while driving his motorcycle in New York City.

Mill, who previously dated Nicki Minaj, also violated his probation in 2015 after leaving the state of Pennsylvania for a gig without getting approval from the court.

The star was previously in jail for eight months and on probation for five years due to a 2008 conviction for gun and drug charges.
