After January, the only Kmart within 50 miles of Toledo will be in Fostoria.
In Sears' latest quarter, same-store sales tumbled more than 11 percent, as total revenue fell to $4.37 billion, from $5.66 billion, and was driven lower because of recent store closures, according to the company.
The move comes in addition to the closing of about 250 stores already announced this year. There is a Sears Outlet store on Airport Highway in Holland.
The Sears stores at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville and Central Mall in Fort Smith are closing, the company announced Thursday.
On its website Thursday, Sears Holding said the closings were part of its ongoing "strategic assessment" of its store base and that it was continuing to find the right size and number of stores to operate successfully.
Kmarts in Martinsburg and Vienna are other West Virginia stores marked for closure in this go-round. The auto center at the two stores will close in December.
"Liquidation sales will begin as early as November 9 at these closing stores", the company said.
That 122,000-square-foot store had been listed for release by the real estate spinoff of Sears Holdings Co., Seritage Growth Properties, as it tries to maximize real estate value of the store portfolio.
Sears' financial position has gotten it in hot water with its vendors in the a year ago, many scaling back on their business with the retailer for fear of bad deals.
