Lyon forward and former Chelsea youth prospect Bertrand Traore would be open to joining former manager Jose Mourinho at Manchester United if the opportunity came to pass after finding it nearly impossible to break into the first-team at Stamford Bridge.

Traore previously told the Daily Mail on his decision to leave the Blues: "Going from Chelsea was the best decision for me". The relationship between Shaw and Mourinho is reported to be markedly strained right now and it seems likely that the manage is prepared to sacrifice the England worldwide if they get a good deal for him.

Traore was sensational on loan at Ajax last season but departed Chelsea to seal a permanent switch to Ligue 1.

However, after a hot start to the season, with United matching rivals City blow-for-blow, the red half of Manchester have fallen away in recent weeks when pitted against top six clubs.

Bertrand Traore left Chelsea as a frustrated figure but has refused to rule out a possible return to England at Manchester United.

The 22-year-old has made a brilliant start to his new club as he has already scored 6 goals in just 15 appearances.

Manchester United will be hoping to have the 24-year-old midfielder back available for selection again ahead of the hectic festive schedule in the Premier League.

And in the end, the youngster was asked why he did not fight much to get into Chelsea's first team squad, and he replied, "I don't know".

All of that aside, call me a cynic, but this PSG speculation feels like Mourinho is pushing pretty hard to get a new long-term deal at United. I fought. I made it to the first-team, but it's almost impossible to become a regular starter at Chelsea for a product of the academy, and I wanted to play regularly. "I'm proud of what I did there before I left".
