Obama holdovers, vacancies remain at top levels of State Department

During his interview with Ingraham, Trump suggested he may not keep Tillerson around for a full term.

President Trump let loose with new threats against North Korea in an interview on "The Ingraham Angle" Thursday, FOX News reported."We have one problem". People are loving it!" - his opinions on Hillary Clinton's DNC scandal, and how the NYC attacker (an "animal, "as far as Trump's concerned) will affect chain immigration".

"Lemme tell you, the one that matters is me", Trump said. "I'm the only one that matters - because when it comes to it, that is what the policy is going to be". "You've seen that, you've seen it strongly".

The president has never been one to censor himself. NBC News is the next closest network, with a measly three interviews.

"Well, we'll see", Trump said. "I'm a businessman, and I tell my people, 'When you don't need to fill slots, don't fill them.' But we have some people that I'm not happy with there". We have nearly about half the number of people coming through as Obama had. The President left for the tour on Friday with First Lady Melania Trump, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, US Trade Representative Bob Lighthizer, and several members of the national security team.

Trump's comments made him appear as if he does not understand the importance of high-level position in the State Department, but Trump argues it's more about saving money. "It's called cost-saving. There's nothing wrong with cost-saving".

The president's remarks on his diplomatic corps came as he prepares to leave Washington for a five-nation trip to Asia, including stops in South Korea and China.

"We'll see. I don't know who's going to be [here for the] duration", he replied, before adding Tillerson was "working hard" and "is doing his best".
