Did you buy the U11? Or should you opt for an alternative like the Moto X4 (which also has an Android One version)? The phone will easily last for a day even if you are a heavy user. That doesn't come without cutting some corners, of course - and HTC found places to cut back just about everywhere.
The phone provides connectivity option including Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C and Cat 9 LTE and IP68 certified phone i.e dust and water resistant. On the negative side of things, it does not offer support for the Moto Mods modular accessories.
The HTC U11+ retains the HTC Squeeze feature from the HTC U11 that was launched earlier this year.
What do you think about the HTC U11 Plus? The U11 has a 5.5-inch display.
The U11 Plus is powered by the top of the range Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset that we saw included in the U11 and that has done well in a lot of top-end phones already this year.
What about the batteries?
The U11 Plus isn't alone either, as it launched alongside the HTC U11 Life, but we've put together a separate guide where you can learn everything about that phone.
There's optical image stabilization as well as electronic image stabilization (EIS), and there's also HDR Boost and a Pro mode that should allow you to take some great photos with the rear camera.
In contrast, the HTC U11 Life relies on a singular 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus and LED flash.
A release date for Australia is now unclear, but we've asked HTC and hope to hear more soon. Today, we have a little more information on the volume of phones that HTC plans on rolling off the assembly line next year.
The back camera is also the same as the U11, which is a 12 megapixel Ultra Pixel 3 sensor with f1.7 aperture and 1.4 μm pixels.
Both phones launched with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box but will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo in the near future. That means HTC has been able to include a 6-inch screen without increasing the body size too much.
The HTC U11 Life is now available from T-Mobile for $350 or you can get it unlocked directly from HTC.com.
What should you get?
HTC U11+ comes with 3,930mAh battery which supports "Quick Charge" 3.0 technology. Of, and it's worth noting that, as with the standard U11, the headphone jack is gone here, marking one of the first time a budget handset has dropped the port.
