Everything We Know About the 'Jersey Shore' Revival

The announcement was made during the awful new "Shore" spin-off "Floribama Shore", which takes place in Panama City Beach, Fla.

On Monday evening, MTV announced that nearly all of the original cast members are reuniting for another installment of the beloved reality series, now titled Jersey Shore Family Vacation. There's no news yet about why Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola's name has been left off the cast list. Huh.

Truth be told, we're not sure whether the "family" in question refers to the original Jersey Shore cast or whether spouses and kids will also appear on the series.

"Family Vacation", the new season will air on MTV in 2018. However, it gave birth to a number of spin-off series, which was a big proof of its success. At its peak in 2011, the unscripted program about a gang of salty-talking, sun-worshiping party lovers lured an average of 9 million viewers an episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The revival news comes after the crew reunited for the docu-series Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore which aired on E! back in August. Here, the cast relived the past and visited familiar places, shared their stories, and updated each other's lives. An episode count for the series has not yet been determined. Just like the original show, there will be nonstop partying and drinking in the hottest beach in town.

Two revival series has a new title, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, and will supposedly show some of the show's anchor personalities in a fresh light.
