Some people never learn: Chris Pratt's Owen doesn't seem to have figured out that raptors don't make good pets, though this six-second tease for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom tweeted out today by exec producer Colin Trevorrow does makes a good case for the cuteness of dino babies.
22, Trevorrow unveiled the footage on social media. Going by reports around the film, there aren't many details about this sequel, but several plot leaks have indicated that it will move away from the first "Jurassic World" and more toward kinder animal treatment.
In the clip, Chris Pratt can be seen stroking the head of a particularly affectionate baby dinosaur, believed to be young velociraptor. It appears that he knows what he's doing because the little carnivorous hatchling purrs and cuddles up to his hand.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has been playing its cards close to the vest, but that may change soon.
Jeff Goldblum, who starred in the original 1993 film Jurassic Park and 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will also reprise his role as the quick-witted mathematician Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. New cast members include Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, and James Cromwell.
The first poster for the movie was released in June, and since then we've been waiting anxiously for a trailer or clip to emerge.
