The Denver Broncos are apparently sticking with quarterback Brock Osweiler under center, according to a Monday afternoon report from Mike Klis of 9News.
There was a certain level of optimism with Osweiler this past weekend just because he was an alternative to Trevor Siemian, but the Broncos didn't fare much better in terms of the overall result. Brock Osweiler is so bad he can't even quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, who are now paying him to play for the Denver Broncos.
He did engineer four scoring drives - a touchdown and three field goals. With the Patriots visiting next Sunday, it would be a really good time to find it and throw it on the field because a 3-6 record would leave little time for such a team to salvage what's been an increasingly disappointing season for the Broncos.
Osweiler's two interceptions in Philadelphia were both bad throws but Joseph said the quarterback earned the chance to start another week.
A few plays later, Osweiler shuffled to his left and floated a 19-yard pass to Cody Latimer, pushing the Broncos near the red zone. That win helped Denver clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC on their way to a Super Bowl win. Upsetting New England would be the first step toward reaching the postseason.
