Awesome DIY Nintendo Switch

You Can Now Use GameCube Controllers With Your Nintendo Switch

The latest update for the Nintendo Switch seems to have added a number of secret features that Nintendo didn't actually talk about. Video capture, controller updates, save data and profile transfer. Although it is a little complicated now, it can be done and Nintendo has also prepared a tutorial to guide their users through the process. We had to do some digging to figure out that wireless headphones will now work with the system, and today, we found out that GameCube controllers will now work on the Nintendo Switch using the official Wii U adapter! Once you plug in the adapter into the console, open the settings menu and press the L & R buttons together. You can pair four controllers at once. Games that works include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8. Red Bull Games got to interview the developer and, interestingly, Golf Story was originally meant to be on the Wii U. Sidebar Games also revealed that Nintendo was very helpful in bringing their game to the Switch platform. "Is there a game on the horizon that may be best played with a GameCube controller?"

It's been speculated that the Switch would be able to run GameCube games within its Virtual Console at some point, indicating that this could possibly hint at the expected arrival of the emulator in the near future.

We'll keep you guys updated. This indicates that Nintendo has specifically intended for the GameCube controller to be made compatible with the Switch, thus suggesting that Smash Bros Switch is in the works.
