Arsenal return to action this coming weekend, following the internationalbreak, though Arsene Wenger will most certainly have something to say on the matter that a string of senior defenders have returned from their respective countries with injuries.
The 25-year-old limped off in Germany's 5-1 win over Azerbaijan on Sunday, which ensured the world champions finished their qualifying campaign for Russian Federation 2018 with a 100 per cent record.
"We lost Mustafi for four to six weeks, I don't think he will be available before the next global break", Wenger told reporters at the pre-game press conference.
"I don't think he will be available before the next global break".
"I didn't expect him to play and Germany had already qualified". He didn't play in the first game, and we lost him in the second game against Azerbaijan at home.
Midfield: Sead Kolasinac is a minor doubt with a hip injury but the Bosnian global is expected to be available while Hector Bellerin should keep his place on the opposite flank. He worked quite hard physically, he looks like he is capable of playing if he survives the test. "We have to cope with that now".
"Koscielny has a definite final test tomorrow", the Arsenal boss added.
"I will decide what I have to do when Koscielny has his test tomorrow". At the moment, he's not available. But he trained on his own and the first signs are positive.
Wenger said contract talks with German worldwide Ozil, who is in the final year of his deal, were progressing well. Sanchez won't be back with us until tomorrow.
Elsewhere in defence, the return of Laurent Koscielny is set to bolster a struggling Arsenal back-line.
