Officers said the incident happened just before 8.30pm on Wednesday near the Dodge Road overpass in Vienna Township, which is about 16 miles from Flint.
Sadly, that is exactly what happened last Wednesday when a group of teens made a decision to throw large rocks off an overpass, allegedly killing 32 year-old father of four, Kenny White.
Four other cars struck large rocks on the road and were waiting for police to arrive.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Office told TV5 it's been flooded with tips and is narrowing its search to "a specific group of individuals".
The local station reported the teens were throwing the rocks from the overpass to "ding" cars. The 32-year-old Genesee County resident was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators believe the rocks may have been taken from another location and thrown off the overpass. Leyton said he had not authorized charges in connection to the death. "You're playing Russian roulette with people's lives".
White's loved ones have also set up a GoFundMe page. ABC News affiliate WXYZ- TV reported the teens were from the same area and threw the rock as a prank.
Police are now investigating White's death as a potential homicide and have several teens in custody, believed to be connected to the incident.
Told White's sister-in-law, Kristina Cagle via fox2detroit, 'What were they thinking?' Kenneth White's youngest child is five years old.
There's a reward of up to $2500 being offered for information leading to an arrest.
