Ryan said Trump took the right approach to phasing out a program that helped young immigrants brought to the country as children and now here illegally.
The House tax-writing committee, the Senate and the White House will unveil a "consensus document" in upcoming weeks that lays out the Republican Party's framework for tax reform, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady announced Wednesday morning during a conference meeting with Republicans.
Trump met with a bipartisan group of senators on tax reform this week, a meeting that press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said was "highly productive".
"As part of that effort, Ryan will be meeting with the House's top Democrat, Nancy Pelosi, on Wednesday evening, before Pelosi heads to the White House for a dinner with Trump and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer".
The comments, flagged by Business Insider, come as Breitbart declares #WAR against establishment Republicans in Congress who the right-wing website sees as working to stifle President Donald Trump's agenda - and Ryan has always been chief amongst their targets.
Ryan, R-Wis., said the GOP's goal is to enact tax overhaul into law by the end of this year, not simply push it through the heavily Republican House, "so that we start 2018 in a new tax system". Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent.
Ryan said, "There is no agreement".
Rep. David Brat, another conservative member of the House Freedom Caucus, said that he is hopeful that whatever is released on September 25 will give him enough level of detail to allow him to support the budget.

"The approval process for the biggest Tax Cut & Tax Reform package in the history of our country will soon begin", the president tweeted.
White House legislative director Marc Short said Tuesday that, while the president remained committed to the wall, funding for it did not necessarily need to be linked directly to the "Dreamers" issue.
"We opened the budget gate for that to happen", Brat said. "That is more important than anything else because if we have tax reform that doesn't actually fix our problems, then we'll lose more and more businesses, and the deficit will go even higher".
People say 'you're holding up tax reform.' Really?
