Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix final will see tremendous quantities of real-time data transmitted to factories all over the world in what's expected to be a major technological breakthrough. Yes, Formula One is in Singapore and at the Marina Bay circuit for the 14th race of the 2017 season. In next three to four years, we can take the sport to a place that is good for all our partners and really adds new level of excitement and dimension to the sport.
This new deal has come about thanks to the return of the French Grand Prix, with Paul Ricard set to host the race when it rejoins the calendar in 2018. I am looking forward to the race, although I know it will be very hot and humid, which makes it one of the most hard tracks.
Singapore has considerable appeal as a popular tourist destination, with about "40 to 50 percent of visitors (to the race) from overseas", said Lionel Yeo, the chief executive of Singapore's tourism board.

Inaugurated in 2008, the Singapore Grand Prix was Formula One's first ever night race.
