Xbox set to unveil 'most powerful' console

Today, Microsoft announced on Twitter they will be cutting the price of the Xbox One S to be $50 cheaper. This could be when Project Scorpio launches, despite Microsoft's assurances the system would release Holiday 2017.

Note - this live stream will kick off on Sunday, June 11 at 2pm PST/5pm EST. Scorpio has already been softly announced online, and Digital Foundry performed an extensive rundown of the upcoming system's hardware.

Microsoft is expected to unveil more details on the much-anticipated Xbox Scorpio console next week at the E3 2017 event.

I'll have full breakdowns, reviews, and reactions to Microsoft's, and every other major E3 Conference on our youtube channel. Phil Spencer announced in a blog post that this E3 is when we'd finally get a look at the new hardware as well as "the awesome game experiences it powers". That means third-party developers. When the next generation consoles came out, gamers were upset that they wouldn't be able to play the previous generation games on the new consoles. "They wanted more headroom for their titles, so we moved from 5 gigs of RAM to 8".

Wireless VR is one of the biggest challenges facing the growing technology, with issues surrounding lag and responsiveness having proved to be problems for companies like HTC and Oculus.

One of the main reasons that the Playstation 4 has consistently outsold the Xbox One is due to the larger amount of exclusive games that the Playstation 4 has over the Xbox One. They are sure to have a few surprise announcements around the console up their sleeves.

"When we've dabbled with backwards compatibility, I can say it is one of those features that is much requested, but not actually used much", said Ryan, in an interview with Time. Typically, the conference runs about 90 minutes, but Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer warns viewers they're going to run longer than usual so that they can accommodate all of the games they want to show off.

But the specifics can't be easily predicted. Ubisoft is expected to release a new title for its Assassin's Creed series, which leaks have indicated will be set in Egypt and called "Assassin's Creed: Unity". Also there will be a launch of 'Ronaldo Edition' that will let players have the official game three days before the actual launch and also 20 jumbo premium card packs for FIFA Ultimate Team.
