If Margaret Court continues to disparage homosexuals and same-sex marriage in public, authorities may find they have no option but to rename the Australian Open stadium that bears her name, Australian Sam Stosur said on Friday (local time).

"Margaret Court Tennis Academy celebrates Margaret Court's outstanding tennis achievements", he said in a statement.

'She did lose the first battle of the sexes to Bobby Riggs, ' McEnroe says in a new video commentary. "Kids will suffer more because of this continuous bashing and stigmatising of our LGBT community", she added.

In a Eurosport video filmed in a mocked-up Parisian apartment, a nod to the ongoing French Open, McEnroe joined those condemning Court, delivering his rebuke in a light-hearted but earnest fashion.

'This is true and who gives a f**k? This is half true and should we really give a f**k?', he said.

On Thursday, Navratilova's letter addressed to "Dear Margaret Court Arena" and published by Fairfax Media newspapers in Australia, suggested that sporting venues should be named for a person's "whole body of work" and "who they are as human beings".

Twenty four-time Grand Slam victor Margaret Court believes a "conspiracy" by the "U.S. gay lobby" is aiming to strip her name from one of the courts at Melbourne Park, the venue of the Australian Open. "They're just trying to figure out what to do, I think they're not quite sure what to do".

Court has complained that tennis is "full of lesbians", lamented transgender children, and accused the U.S.

McEnroe also claimed that Court and Ilie Nastase, who was accused of racist comments towards Serena Williams, had 'brought tennis back into the dark ages, ' before suggesting the pair unite in union. Margaret, that's just the kind of guy I am'.

"Oh and Margaret, one last thing - don't get all worked up about del Potro holding Almagro crying in his arms", McEnroe said. It's just a decent human being consoling a friend in distress.

"And you know, what you get at the top is often what you'll get right through". You've got one life, so I'm going to live it to the max and enjoy it and make the most of every day. Just think about that'.
