Peyton Manning plays golf with President Donald Trump

After Calls To 'Get Down' To Business, Trump Goes On 23rd Trip To Golf Course

Trump spotted golfing with Peyton Manning, Sen. Bob Corker

As the Washington Post reports, Manning and Trump, along with Senator Bob Corker (R-Tennessee), were spotted on the White House lawn sporting golf clubs.

Peyton Manning has a busy year ahead of him, one fully year removed from retirement.

It was all very hush-hush, but we have reason to believe that President Trump played golf on Sunday at Trump National Golf Club with former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and Republican Senator Bob Corker. That's because the Super Bowl champion signal-caller had a tee time with President Trump.

Trump long has admired Manning, as he described in a CBS interview before Super Bowl 50.

The medal is given by Ford's Theatre Society to people "who, through their body of work, accomplishments or personal attributes, exemplify the lasting legacy and mettle of character embodied by Abraham Lincoln", noted Ford's Theatre official website.

Despite Trump's open admiration for Manning's on-field rival, Tom Brady, the retired Bronco has actually been spending more time around Trump lately. It was reported in January that Manning would be a speaker at a GOP retreat after Trump's inauguration. After his freaky speech in front of the Central Intelligence Agency in January (the one where he got mad about the size of the crowd at the inauguration and bemoaned his own persecution), he told ABC News that the reaction was comparable to Manning's Super Bowl win. I know when I do good speeches.

Manning contributed to Jeb Bush's campaign for president past year.
