Grande Returns to Manchester to Honor Victims with Benefit

To help the city heal, Grande put on the One Love Manchester concert, which also was expected to raise more than $2.5 million for the victims of the attack, the Telegraph reported.

Cameras caught an officer in a hat and yellow safety shirt happily dancing in a circle with children and fans during Justin Bieber's performance, where Bieber urged the crowd to "fight evil with love".

Visibly moved at times, Grande performed with Miley Cyrus and the Black Eyed Peas, and was joined on stage by the night's other stars to perform the song One Last Time.

Taking to the stage at Old Trafford cricket ground, Katy Perry was wrapped in an angelic feathered ankle-grazing cape which she wore dropped from her shoulders.

Grande closed the night with an emotional performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". One family in particular, that of 15-year-old Olivia Campbell, one of the 22 who tied in the attack, inspired her when planning the concert.

The concert continued as planned even after another terrorist attack struck the United Kingdom on Saturday evening, when authorities said three men drove a van into pedestrians on the London Bridge and attacked people with knives at nearby Borough Market. Backed by two singers and a guitarist, she delivered the song wearing all white, singing, "Throw your sticks and your stones, throw your bombs and your blows, but you're not gonna break my soul".

"I want to thank you for coming together, and being so strong", Grande later told the crowd. Katy Perry encouraged concertgoers to touch their neighbor to say "I love you". He added, "You looked fear right in the face and you said, No, we are Manchester, and the world is watching".
