Fabinho looks set to be just one of United's big-money signings this summer, with Mourinho already snapping up defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica last week.

Monaco midfielder Fabinho has described reuniting with José Mourinho as "tempting" amid rumours he will join Manchester United this summer.

The Brazil midfielder was an influential star of a Monaco side that ended Paris Saint-Germain's stranglehold on the Ligue 1 title last season, while the principality club also reached the last four of the Champions League. "I would first talk to my agent, Monaco too, to decide everything right".

In an interview with Brazilian television channel Esporte Interativo, as quoted by the BBC, Fabinho said he would be interested in working with Jose Mourinho.

However, sources close to the player say both United and Manchester City hold an interest in the former Rio Ave man.

He thinks that the club also need to bring in new players, who will help the side and hopes they have the same affect as the transfers did this time previous year, leading United to three trophies.

The Brazilian global made his name as a right-back but excelled in a holding midfield role last season to help Leonardo Jardin's side clinch the Ligue 1 title ahead of PSG.

The 23-year-old made 55 appearances for Monaco last season, scoring 12 goals and assisting six further strikes in all competitions.

The player himself seems receptive to a move, so the Red Devils would be wise to make an approach for him.
