"At this time, no", said Pederson, via Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com.
"No", Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Thursday, his team does not have interest in signing free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. "Going forward that's what I'm trying to see, is where our youngs guys are and how well they can handle the work load of what we're trying to do offensively and in our passing game". We were kind of thinking the same thing, along the same lines.
"We felt it would be beneficial for our players to go, get out of our environment and play against some different guys", Gase told the Miami Herald Thursday.
The Eagles announced their training camp schedule on Thursday and it includes a couple of days set aside to work with the Dolphins before they play each other.
Miami made the playoffs a year ago.
The practices with the Dolphins will feature cornerback-bust Byron Maxwell, who was traded after being unable to fit into the defense.
This year's training camp will open on Monday, July 24, when quarterbacks, rookies and selected veterans are scheduled to report.
Practices open to the public at the Linc are Saturday, July 29, which is Military Appreciation Day presented by Dietz & Watson, and Sunday, Aug. 6, Youth Day. Prior to the game, the Dolphins and Eagles will hold two joint practice against each other. Both practices will begin at 10 a.m. and will be free to the public.
The Dolphins and Eagles will not be having dual training camp practices as the National Football League collective bargaining agreement has effectively ended that. Tickets are not required and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Miami will open the regular season September 10, hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
