Mel Gibson and John Lithgow join the daddies in Paramount Pictures' first trailer for "Daddy's Home 2", playing the fathers to Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell's characters. "The only film my kids and I equally enjoy together!"
Daddy's Home wasn't the biggest movie of 2015, but the film did get enough money to have a sequel ordered.
In the sequel to the 2015 global smash, father and stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell), have joined forces to provide their kids with the flawless Christmas. But when Christmas rolls around and their own fathers, played by Mel Gibson and John Lithgow, come to the first joint family holiday celebration, they might not see eye-to-eye again as they each try to impress their dads. Dusty's Dad (Gibson) is an ultra-masculine tough guy that makes Dusty look progressive, while Brad's Dad (Lithgow) is extra-emotional and highly affectionate.
John Cena will also return to the Sean Anders-directed sequel in a more prominent role along with Linda Cardellini and Alessandra Ambrosio. Sparks already flair when the grandkids flock to one grandparent instead of the other, which then prompts Dusty's old man to overcompensate with a story about two dead hookers.
Daddy's Home 2 is set for release on November 10th.
