Tuesday night and debuted the newest and possibly final trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
If you're excited for Guardians Vol. 2, be sure to give it an anticipation rating below! With anticipation running high for a rumored new trailer for the DC's Justice League, Marvel's tweet confirming a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer will release tomorrow is the next best thing.
He introduced the trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, posing as an audience member and talking about the film to Kimmel who pretended he'd never heard of it.
The Guardians are also set to join their Marvel super-friends in "Avengers: Infinity War", which will release in the summer of 2018, nearly exactly one-year after Guardians of the Galaxy 2 hits theaters. Unbelievable characters? Check. And speaking of which, how about that first look at Kurt Russell as Ego, Star-Lord's dad?! And while the trailer was great and all, a very cool poster arrived along with it that has gotten lost in the mix. The first film was a surprise hit, helping showcase that Marvel could resurrect B-list (C-list) superheroes and make a box office monster.
The trailer also shows off more of the series' now-signature 1970s soundtrack, once again featuring Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'. The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Racoon and Vin Diesel as Baby Groot.
Veteran star Russell plays Ego in the next installment of the Marvel comic book that seeks to unravel as they unravel the mystery of Quill's true parentage. Writer/director James Gunn returns to helm the next installment of the sci-fi comedy franchise, in which the Guardians travel across the galaxy and meet the mysterious alien father of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt).
