Following the U.S. appeals court's ruling wherein it ruled to uphold a temporary hold on President Donald Trump's travel ban, former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appeared to deliver an ice-cold burn.

And now we wait for Trump to be "baited with a tweet", as Clinton once famously noted during her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Hillary Clinton has kept herself out of the public eye in the weeks and months following her close defeat to Donald Trump in the American elections past year.

The US court decision to slap down the travel ban was due to lack of proof to explain the urgency of implementing it across the country.

The former presidential candidate tweeted "3-0" after the ruling was handed down Thursday night.

In a nutshell, Trump recently ordered the banning of people immigrating from seven predominantly Muslim countries.

But in the appeals court's damning assessment of Trump's case it stated "the government has pointed no evidence that any alien from any of the countries named in the order has perpetrated a terrorist attack in the United States". It also bans citizens of Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen from coming into the U.S. for 90 days. Trump's EO includes a cap of 50,000 refugees to be accepted this year against a limit of 110,000 set by former President Barack Obama.

Nancy Pelosi also weighed in. She said that the Constitution won along with the fight against terrorism. He also told reporters in the White House that it is a political decision. When the federal judge first took the decision last week, they were relieved.
