Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have finally agreed on one thing, and that is to seal up the court filings related to their child custody battle.
Jolie filed for divorce in September, 2016 after two years of marriage.
The couple shares six children-Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Wasser also accuses Pitt's lawyers of filing papers "that have been used to publicly impugn [Jolie's] character and to deflect from Respondent's own role in the media storm that has engulfed the parties' children". Angelina Jolie has agreed with Brad Pitt as it is a private matter. At least, not in his personal realm, as he's been involved in ongoing divorce proceedings and an unpleasant custody battle with his ex, Angelina Jolie. The actress further accused Pitt, stating that he was making such allegation as he was "terrified that the public will learn the truth". The happy holidays were soon followed by a dispute between Brad and Angelina.
The latest court filing mentioned that Pitt would do very little to cover private information from exposing it to the media, more so after the involvement of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Dept. of Children and Family Services, making allegations on him for child abuse. Meanwhile, Pitt has claimed that Jolie has put their children at risk by putting out information in the public.
"It does not help the kids to have it aired like this in a high-profile case, but he may not have had a choice".
A source said: "He desperately misses having his kids with him for Christmas and New Year. So he may not have had a choice but to go public, it may have been his only option".
"Thankfully after four months of on record statements, leaks and unnecessary and intrusive filings she is coming around to realising that confidentiality is actually in the best interests of her children and family", the source added. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the "Tourist" premiere in 2010.
While Ange agrees that the case should be kept private, which is a step forward, she has hit back at Brad saying, if the kids have been damaged, it's all his doing.
The hearing that will determine whether or not Brad Pitt's request to seal child custody matters is granted will happen on January 17.
