With each passing week, it seems more and more likely that Antoine Griezmann will be on the move next summer.

In further comments that are also likely to spark more rumours over a possible future transfer to United, the striker also stated that France compatriot Paul Pogba was also chief among an exclusive list of players he now admired.

"He called me, told me he'd stay".

The Frenchman's close relationship with United star Paul Pogba is well known and his love for the club has been widely reported.

"My team-mates here really appreciate me".

Manchester United are allegedly keen to lure him to Old Trafford and Griezmann has now boosted the Premier League side's hopes of getting their man by admitting he can see himself in the English top flight.

"PSG is an interesting project but I don't want to move to Ligue 1 now", he said.

"He looks a top centre-forward and whether he'll stay at Atletico I'm not sure but I think we have to be in the market for somebody like that".

By doing so, Griezmann all but ruled out a move to long-term admirers Paris Saint-Germain.

"I can not go to Real", Griezmann told Telefoot. I have great respect for him and I feel great confidence.

Having joined Atletico from Real Sociedad in 2014, Griezmann has emerged as one of Spanish football's leading marksmen.

It's not without trying that Griezmann and co. find themselves so far off the pace given the 25-year-old has scored and assisted six and four league goals respectively thus far.
