Britney Spears to perform at 2016 VMAs

Britney will perform her new single "Make Me" from her upcoming album "Glory" and will be joined on stage by G-Eazy. Watch the official announcement below. Some of those moments include her 1999 medley performance of "Baby One More Time" / "Tearing Up My Heart" with *NSYNC, her 2000 fiery performance of "Oops I Did It Again", her white python-clad performance of "Slave 4 You", and of course her kiss with Madonna.

Britney Spears performs 'Britney Spears: Piece of Me Remixed. The performance will be her first at the VMAs since 2007.

Since then, her career has rebounded thanks to a Las Vegas residency and new hit music. "They give you a story". Before you know it - it's history.

The 28-year-old pop star is set to be feted for her "decade-long impact on music, pop culture, fashion, film and philanthropy", MTV explained. "Before you know's Britney, bitch".

Spears has been nominated at the VMAs 28 times, winning five of the show's Moonmen trophies.

Spears will be featuring in Carpool Karaoke to promote the album's release toward the end of August.

While her last VMAs performance, of her single, "Gimme More", at the 2007 show, had its hiccups, we have no doubt Spears will slay come August 28!
