The Donald's trump card may be the selection of a vice presidential running mate who can reassure the twitchy conservative base. Each candidate appeared with Trump at campaign stops, auditioning for the running mate spot.
The real estate mogul is slated to announce his decision Friday at 11 a.m.in NY, and multiple sources have said Trump's shortlist is down to Pence, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Gingrich.

In addition to Pence, Trump's shortlist included former House Speaker Newt Gingrich of Georgia and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, according to people familiar with the candidate's thinking.

Mr Pence and Mr Trump met on Wednesday at the governor's residence in Indianapolis.
