Dubbed the ROG GX700, the laptop comes equipped with a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System cooling module. The GX700 laptop will be sold a "request only" model for a price tag of Rs 4,12,990.
As for the software, there is a lot packed inside the GX700, including McAfee Internet Security(Trial version), Gaming Center, ASUS Smart Gesture, ASUS Splendid, ICEsound, ASUS WebStorage Sync Agent, ROG MacroKey, Steam, USB Charger+, ASUS Sonic Suite, and CyberLink PowerDVD 12. Named as ROG GX700, which means Republic of Gamers is said to be the first gadget to have liquid-cooled feature.
The liquid-cooling dock comes with a quiet and reliable pump to dissipate heat. It is powered by a 6th-generation Intel Skylake CPU paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, further expandable up to 64GB. Company has also made a special ROG themed briefcase for this laptop.
The GX700 laptop has a massive 17-inch 4K UHD display with Nvidia G-Sync support for smooth visuals. It is not a compulsion to always use the liquid-cooling dock and one can take advantage of the traditional cooling system packed into the laptop if the dock isn't needed all the time.
It was all about Nvidia yesterday with the launch of the GTX 1060, but we can focus back on AMD today as Asus has unveiled its new ROG Strix RX 480 graphics card. ASUS FanConnect solves this issue with two 4-pin GPU-controlled headers that can be connected to system fans to provide targeted supplemental cooling for optimal thermal performance. There's also NVIDIA's GeForce GTX980M GPU thrown into the mix.
True to its name, the Hydro Overclocking System will let you overclock the GX700's already superfast 2.7GHz Core i7-6820HK processor by up to 48 percent and clock up the 64GB of DDR4 RAM by up to 43 percent.
