The next expansion for Bethesda's post-apocalyptic role-playing game, "Fallout 4", is set to arrive on May 19. They've filled that land with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons.
In the game, you travel off the cost of ME and into the feral world that is Far Harbor. "Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople".
Naming the expansion Far Harbor was a give away, but yes, players will be led through a place called Far Harbor which is actually a fictional depiction of Bar Harbor, a popular tourist destination in Maine.
This means that players will be given choice-driven missions, with the fate of the island and its inhabitants ultimately depending on the selections that the player makes while completing missions related to the expansion. Additionally, if you've registered interest in beta testing the Far Harbor DLC on any platform, you should check your email to see if you received an invite.
According to the studio support team, the new patch is scheduled to go live Friday, May 7, although no time has been provided. The update 1.5 is introducing the long awaited Survival Mode, featuring a whole new and more realistic level of difficulty for veteran Fallout players.
You can grab the update now on PS4 and Xbox One.
The update also promises to fix a good few bugs, and supposedly improves how the third-person viewpoint behaves in cramped spaces.
Will you be limping back into Fallout 4 to test your mettle in survival mode?
The DLC will come to personal computer (PC), PlayStation 4 (PS4), and Xbox One.
