"Grey's Anatomy" has hosted its fair share of heart-pounding special episodes over twelve seasons - from a hospital shooting to a bomb-in-body scare - and this week, the ABC medical drama is at it again. In an interview, the actor revealed about the tension-filled season and also indicated at trouble in the conjugal paradise of Ben and Bailey.
Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George) has the best interest in mind when he performed a C-section delivery for a pregnant woman who is already in a critical condition.
As the wife has gained the position of chief of surgery at Grey Sloan, she is much more powerful than her husband who is now her subordinate.
"Ben and Bailey have become that unbreakable couple at Grey Sloan Memorial, so in this world, they're that stable couple that everybody can count on". All of the pieces and testimonies prove that Ben had to act quickly, all except one very important detail. The upcoming episode will then have to unveil if Bailey can establish facts that will deem her husband's actions suitable. Last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy focused less on Meredith and more on the drama surrounding the other doctors, though it did touch on Meredith's relationship with Amelia. Ben sees Owen, Meredith, and Maggie are the Advisory Board and starts to relax a bit.
"Meanwhile, April Kepner (Sarah Drew) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) try to put their differences aside for the sake of their baby, and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) makes a decision that could affect her relationship with Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) forever". Would you have voted to suspend or fire Ben? That order is nearly impossible to enforce completely since April and Jackson work in such tight quarters together. Callie talks with Arizona about Penny moving and Arizona tells her they can make it happen long distance. Penny can't ask Callie to pick up her child and her life and move to NY. She and Jackson take a step towards peace in the end and are able to share feeling their baby kick. Callie tells Penny she loves her and decides she wants to move to NY with her. She tells Arizona in passing and says Arizona can visit their daughter, Sofia, on the weekends. So at the end of the day it is not April starting a child custody battle, it is Arizona. "Ben ends up in a terrible situation where he has to make a really tough call as a soon-to-be surgeon". This change of power equation will be causing ripples in their life.
